The leaves, having endured the Spring and Summer, are picked in Autumn and bring out a rich plum flavor that evolves into sweet peach notes with the complexity that comes with aging. With each passing month, the tea gains new characteristics. Fantastic for aging and really a perfect tea to drink today.

I have consumed two of these cakes over the late spring and summer of this year. I had not visited this tea since I acquired it in 2014. When I unwrapped it, I noticed how beautiful it was, I then noticed the degree of compression….for me it was perfect….it was effortless to pick full leaf sets from the top of this cake (if you have not tried, please try picking from the top). The tea is delicious…I drank it daily. Get one of these cakes and drink it……it is a fine example of the quality that comes from this farm. Nicholas has done us a great service to make this tea available…take full advantage of it.
